Brand Learning appoints new managing director of APAC
As global experts in building capabilities to help organisations drive customer-centred growth, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Harriet de Swiet as managing director Brand Learning Pte ltd. in our fast-growing Singapore office.
Harriet is currently based in London as board partner APAC, but will be relocating to Singapore in August. As well as 15 years’ client-side experience, she has been with Brand Learning for nine years. Her career to date has covered a range of international markets including Europe and the Americas as well as the Asia-Pacific region.
Harriet will continue the company’s business development plans in the APAC, working with global clients in Asia-Pacific and supporting Brand Learning global client directors based in London and New York to tailor or embed activity locally.
Harriet de Swiet comments: “It's exciting to help clients in Singapore and more broadly across Asia-Pacific to accelerate growth and build their capabilities in marketing and sales. Our team understands the important differences global and local clients experience when working in APAC, and the opportunities and challenges that presents.
As well as developing our proposition and solutions for APAC clients, we’re building a team that is true to the Brand Learning values and aspirations. Being based in Singapore will allow me to work even more closely with big brands in the region and understand exactly what they need to do to craft their business around their customers.
Mhairi McEwan, group CEO and co-founder of Brand Learning, commented: “The APAC region offers opportunities for both global and local brands to grow by focusing on local customers – and for that they need the right capabilities in areas like sales and marketing.
Harriet is an expert both on the region and on what brands have to do in order to succeed and prosper. Her appointment spells another major step forward in our ability to help them do that.”
