Group Digital Capability Director
Steve brings over 15 years of experience in client, agency and consulting roles with a focus on driving digital change in global organisations.
Steve started his career at Barclays, working in their Marketing and Insights team to overhaul their approach to direct communications. The focus of this role was developing new techniques and approaches to working with data to create far greater level of personalisation in customer communications.
Steve then moved into the car industry working for Volkswagen and then in advertising for the BMW Group. A key theme in both roles was the implementation of technology around the customer journey to drive sales. During this time Steve gained first hand experience of all major customer facing technologies and led a number of award winning multichannel campaigns.
Steve joined Brand Learning in 2010 and quickly put his digital talents to use working with clients in building their capabilities. In 2014 he helped set up the Specialist Business Unit and now leads our digital team, delivering digital transformation programmes internationally. In recent years Steve has worked with Shell, PepsiCo, GSK, Roche, Danone and a number of other leading brands to drive the digital transformation of their customer experience.
Steve graduated from the Management School at Lancaster University with a BA Hons in Marketing Management and has recently become a dad to his very own digital native, Austin. In between work and visits to the playground, he enjoys running, going to the gym and historic motorsport.
