Chairman - BAE Systems plc

Sir Roger joined BAE Systems plc as a non-executive director in 2013 and became Chairman in February 2014. He is Vice-Chairman of the BBC Trust and senior advisor to KKR. He has extensive boardroom experience in diverse sectors and his appointments include Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director of the Court of the Bank of England, President of the CBI, Chief Executive of Williams plc and Chairman of Centrica plc, Cadbury plc, Chubb plc, Mitchells & Butlers plc and Thames Water plc. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and is Visiting Fellow of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Sir Roger is a Founder Chairman of the 30% Club, aiming to increase the proportion of women on FTSE 100 boards. He was knighted for Services to Business in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list 2011.
