Patrick Cescau

Chairman - InterContinental Hotels Group

Patrick was appointed Chairman of the board of InterContinental Hotels Group in January 2013. He has held board of director positions for nearly 15 years in leading global businesses and has extensive international experience in brands, consumer products, as well as finance. From 2005 to 2008, he was Group CEO of Unilever Group, having previously been Chairman of Unilever PLC, Vice-Chairman of Unilever NV and Foods Director, following a progressive career with the Company, which began in France in 1973. He was formerly a Senior Independent Director and Non-Executive Director of Pearson plc and a Director at INSEAD, where he obtained his MBA with distinction.

He is also currently a Non-Executive Director of International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. and a trustee of The Leverhulme Trust and a Patron of the St Jude India Children Charity. Patrick was appointed a Chevalier de la Legion d'honneur in 2005
