Managing Director Sales Practice
Martin is a commercially-oriented and strategic sales professional with extensive experience in developing Sales Capability at a global and local operation level.
His career began as a graduate trainee with BP where he held various commercial positions before joining Colgate-Palmolive where he led the Sales operations in Portugal, UK and Australia, gaining extensive operational knowledge of Customer Management, Customer Marketing and Field Operations. Subsequently Martin was appointed Worldwide Director of Customer Development Capabilities, with responsibility for global strategies and solutions for building local sales effectiveness in the areas of Retailer Engagement, Indirect Trade and Retail Execution.
Martin has spent last 3 years with Brand Learning, where he leads the Sales Practice and is a board partner. Over this time he has developed and delivered Sales capability change programmes for multi-national clients across Pharmaceutical, FMCG and Oil and Gas/Chemicals.
Martin has worked extensively around the world in both developed and developing markets including North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Africa. He has an established reputation for getting the most out of sales organisations and professionals by developing and helping to implement innovative strategies, solutions and capability development programs.
Martin holds an MA from Oxford University and outside of work, his passion is sailing and he has taken part in extensive competitive racing during his time in Australia.
