Brand Learning ramps up recruitment of senior marketers in London and New York

Brand Learning today announced six new senior appointments: four in the UK and two in the US.

In the UK, Simon Freedman is joining Brand Learning as marketing capability director. He joins from GlaxoSmithKline, where he was global marketing capability director. He was previously brand director for Lucozade and has also worked for Telefonica O2, the FA, Coca-Cola and Nestle.

Martin Adkins will be joining as customer development director. Martin was most recently at Colgate Palmolive, and he has more than 20 years experience in a wide range of senior sales and customer development roles.

Two other appointments to Brand Learning’s digital team include Emma Jenkins joining in the UK as digital consultant. She was most recently the CMO of giffgaff and previously spent 12 years leading digital innovation for P&G, working on innovative new areas such as social gaming, influencer outreach and augmented reality.

Chris Pullon also joins Brand Learning as digital associate director. Previously a digital director at Havas Media, he will be continuing his work with data and complex digital theory, breaking it down to building blocks that are practical for both digital and non-digital stakeholders to connect with.

In the US, Angie Gutermuth joins as vice president marketing capability, with over 15 years of experience in innovation and strategy with Kraft Foods and Nestle. Inez Johnson has also joined as an associate director in the US team. Most recently an associate vice-president at L’Oreal, Inez brings 10 years of deep shopper marketing experience from P&G and Novartis.
