Brand Learning and M&S win Marketing Society award for excellence in building marketing capabilities

Brand Learning is delighted to announce that our work with M&S has been awarded winner in the ‘Building Marketing Capabilities’ category at the 2016 Marketing Society Excellence Awards.

The award is made for effective investment in improving the performance of individuals, teams and the company as a whole in order to drive sustainable growth. Since the programme began, the M&S Food Business has seen improvements in their customer experience net promoter score (up 14%), increased sales (with like for like UK Food sales up 4% across the last 3 years) and a record market share.

Brand Learning were asked to support M&S in lifting the functional performance of their Marketing team, equipping them to lead a customer-centred organisation. In partnership we established a common way of Marketing for the first time, applied new capabilities, and enabled Marketing to work cross-functionally to drive brilliant customer experiences. Leaders were also equipped to drive customer-centred strategies and behaviours across the business.

Strengthened marketing capabilities have led to a motivated, high-performing Marketing team which has delivered superior business results.
