BRAND LEARNING is a privately owned, independent company. Our joint Managing Directors and co-founders are Andy Bird and Mhairi McEwan, both Fellows of The Marketing Society. Mhairi is also a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and a Chartered Marketer.

Andy Bird
Prior to setting up BRAND LEARNING in 2000, Andy worked for Unilever for 14 years. His career included a variety of marketing roles in the UK, Central Asia and the Far East, working on brands such as Lipton, Birds Eye, Peperami, Flora and Brooke Bond. He then moved on to establish and become Vice President of Unilever’s global Marketing Academy leading marketing functional capability development globally. Andy graduated from Oxford with a first in PPE and a Blue in football.

Mhairi McEwan
Prior to setting up BRAND LEARNING in 2000, Mhairi worked for Unilever and Pepsico for 16 years. Her career involved marketing and sales in the UK, Europe and Egypt on brands such as Persil, Domestos & Comfort. She then spent 3 years as Vice President Marketing Europe for Pepsi-Cola and Walkers UK (Walkers, Doritos, Quavers). Finally she spent 2 years in Marketing Capability consultancy supporting the global Diageo Way of Brand Building (DWBB) team and the Unilever Marketing Academy. Mhairi graduated from Leicester with a first in Psychology and Industry.
