Top Honours for Dairy Crest and BRAND LEARNING at Marketing Society Awards
Dairy Crest, working with specialist consultancy BRAND LEARNING, was awarded the winning slot at the Marketing Society Awards for Excellence in the Marketing Capabilities Category for their Marketing Excellence Programme.
This programme has helped transform the company from commodity dairy processors to ‘brand builders’. At the same time, the programme has developed the marketing team, significantly improving their performance.
Group Marketing Development Director Richard Tolley said "We are delighted to win the Marketing Society award for Marketing Capabilities. It reflects the great work done by our outstanding marketing team here at Dairy Crest and by our partners BRAND LEARNING. This award is testament to the power of sustained and rigorous focus on brands and of significant investment behind building the marketing capabilities of our team. We are very proud of our achievements as a business, growing our leading brands such as Cathedral City and Country Life by 125% and 50% over the past 4 years."
Following a thorough investigation of the business needs, current capabilities and challenges, an overall strategy for sustained marketing capability development was developed, with the Dairy Crest marketing capability framework at the core.
This was underpinned by a tools and process embedding programmes that included workshops to apply these to Dairy Crest, Yoplait Dairy Crest and retailer brands and the live business issues work relating to these brands.
